INTEREST AND INTENT FORM
For almost 25 years, the Worcester Art Museum has been running a program called Art All-State that is now going NATIONAL. The goals for National Art All Stars include
- Creating the next generation of artists, museum-goers, and art enthusiasts while boosting self-image of art students through recognition and encouragement;
- bringing students, art teachers, museum educators and professional artists from diverse disciplines together in a studio and museum setting to strengthen each field;
- allowing students to work in collaboration with mentors and their peers from other parts of the country;
- introducing students, educators and museum practitioners to the Art Museum as an important resource for the practicing artist; and
- increasing communication among secondary art teachers by providing professional development opportunities for them and allowing them to learn experientially.
National Art All Stars can be a mountain-top experience for all involved!
Two high school juniors, along with one art educator and one museum educator will be chosen from each state to participate in this 4-5 day national program which will include at least two days of collaborative studio work with working contemporary artists; visits to world-class art museums; time to reflect on art and artmaking; time to make art; and more.
